I joined Law Show to renew my childhood passion for singing and musical theatre. I am honoured to take part in this beloved UAlberta Law tradition and hope you enjoy the show!

Hi, I'm Ashfia Ahmed, a third year law student at the University of Alberta, and I am the Acting Director this year! I am in charge of leading the acting troupe, alongside my very talented acting assistants. We are responsible for directing and blocking the theatre portions of the show. I've been involved in the acting troupe since my first year of law school and it has consistently been the best part of my law school experience! I have always been a theatre kid at heart, even completing a minor in Drama, so Law Show always felt like home. The only way you could ever convince me to do law school all over again is by letting me be a part of three more Law Shows.
Sean is excited to be one of the Assistant Acting Directors for this year’s Law Show! He joined Law Show in 1L because he loved acting and being on stage. Hi, I'm Stephen Cook. For the last few years I've played the role of moderately well-adjusted adult; joining law show last year gave me the chance to perform outside my usual repertoire. I'm now one of the assistant acting directors, aiming to help the acting troupe experience that same delightful opportunity to dance and prance upon the stage!

Hi, I’m Krishna, this year’s Band Director for Law Show. I’ve been playing piano and other ensemble instruments for years, and being part of this show combines everything I love: music, collaboration, and a little bit of chaos in the best way possible. Last year me and the incredible band for law show successfully revived the band troupe and helped bring live music back to the production. I look forward to creating more unforgettable moments in rehearsals and on the stage!

Hello hello! My name is Kaylee Lukawiecki, and I’m the Co-Dance Director for Law Show! After having such a blast performing in La Ma Mia, I couldn’t wait to come back. I had a great experience doing Law Show last year and hoping to make this year just as fun!
Kate is thrilled to be acting as an Assistant Dance Director for this year’s Law Show! She is very excited to be working with an amazing and talented group of future lawyers to make Law School Musical a reality.
Merna is one of the assistant dance directors for this year's Law Show! She joined the dance troupe in her first year of law school and absolutely loved it. She is very excited to be working with an amazing and talented group of future lawyers to make Law School Musical a reality.
Omar Khan is the 1L Representative for this year’s Law Show. As a 1L student, the only 'law show' he knew before joining was Suits. He quickly realized, however, that this Law Show was actually a hilarious and wonderful student-driven ‘law play’, and he was eager to get involved. His primary responsibility is to act as the core liaison between the 1L student body and the executive team, ensuring robust engagement and promoting this beloved annual production. Though his undergraduate background is in engineering, having long admired musical theatre—shows like Hamilton, Heathers, and Mean Girls—the opportunity and excitement of being a part of a full production is what drew him to Law Show. He’s dedicated to delivering a memorable event for the whole faculty, even though he can't dance, though you know he can.
