Approximately 95 law students came together January 23rd and 24th, 2026 to bring a law-themed High School Musical parody to life at the Myer Horowitz Theatre. Creative Director Tiara Thorley organized our acting, dance, singing, band, and backstage troupes to put on a 2 hour show with endless jokes, live music, and intricate dance routines.
With cameos from U of A law professors Chris Samuel and Andrew Leach, U of A law Dean Fiona Kelly, and U of A law alumni Stephen Raitz, over 1,000 spectators came out to support and see the show over two nights.
In pursuit of our fundraising efforts, Executive Producer Alyssa Welz led the production team to raise money for the show via ticket sales, sponsorships, and a silent auction. We are ecstatic that our fundraising efforts allowed us to donate $27,500 to the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton!
Thank you to everyone who supported the show! Law Show 2026 would not have been such a success without your support!

This year, all proceeds from Law Show will support the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton (SACE), a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting anyone affected by sexual violence - regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, or background.
SACE provides free, judgment-free services including crisis support, counselling, court accompaniment, and advocacy. They also lead public education and prevention initiatives, helping build a safer and more informed community.
Your support helps ensure that survivors, and their loved ones, have access to the care, compassion, and resources they need to heal and thrive.
